The momentum has not let up this last week and we continue to be busy busy busy with fundraising efforts for the project. Because we are in the process of planning two events, a lot has to be done in a short time! A few of highlights from the past few days have been:
1. Robin Muller from the textiles department at NSCAD came in for a second time and gave a great slide presentation with images and information from her experience in Peru. It was very informative!
2. Club Caliente in Halifax has been very generous in donating event space and support for one of our events: a party/all around good time in support of our cause.
3. We have put a limited edition Sidney Crosby framed memorabilia up on Kijiji. If you are a Sid The Kid fan, be sure to check that out.
One of the events we are planning is an art auction. If you are an artist and want to support our cause, we would love for you to do so by donating a piece of artwork. We are looking for a range of items, so whatever you make is fine! You can get in touch with us on our facebook group or by emailing us at info.projectperu@gmail.com
We have found a potential to get a large sum of money to go toward our goal. Maxwell House coffee has a new ad campaign going on called Brew Some Good. Log on to their website and nominate Project Peru for the $10, 000 prize. The only criteria is that we are a worthy cause!! I think we are the perfect candidates for this. Click here to nominate us, it only takes 2 minutes!
Again, don't forget to check our our website and donate if you haven't already! If you have THANKS!!!
